The Downtown Point Richmond Connectivity Project seeks to close a key gap in the citywide bicycle network and the regional Bay Trail while improving bicycle and pedestrian safety and access. 🚲

Project Goals:

The Downtown Point Richmond Bicycle and Pedestrian Connectivity Project intends to meet the following goals.

Improved Safety: Create safer pedestrian crossings, enhanced bus stops, connected bike routes, and clear wayfinding to reduce conflicts and improve comfort for everyone.

Connectivity: Design a bike and pedestrian link through Downtown Point Richmond completing the existing gap in routes between the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, Downtown Richmond, and the Ferry Terminal.

Community-Informed Design: Work with neighborhood and city residents, businesses, and organizations to shape improvements that reflect community needs.

The project will take a fresh look at existing conditions and community feedback to develop and test conceptual alternatives, preliminary design, and final design for the connection.
