WEATHER UPDATE | Monday, August 31

Lamar CISD schools and facilities will be OPEN and operate on their regular schedules tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1.

District leaders participated in a regional weather briefing this afternoon. While our area may experience rain and wind, current forecasts do not indicate conditions that would warrant canceling school.

We are aware of inaccurate information circulating online, including AI-generated information stating that Lamar CISD will be closed tomorrow. That information is false.

We will continue monitoring weather conditions throughout the evening and early morning. If anything changes that impacts school operations, Lamar CISD will communicate directly with families and staff.

Our Apex Super Heroes Pep Rally with Apex Leadership Co Houston is tomorrow, and it's the start of two incredible weeks of leadership and fundraising. The energy on campus is about to be unreal.
