Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 State of the City!

It was an honor to share Richmond's story, celebrate our progress, and look ahead to the opportunities that await our community.

This year's theme, "Built on Legacy. Focused on the Future,” reflects the spirit of Richmond. We are proud of the foundation laid by those who came before us, and we remain committed to building a strong future for generations to come.

A special thank you to all our sponsors for helping make this event possible, and to Kevin Patton, our Presenting Sponsor, for his generous support and commitment to our community.

Thank you as well to the Central Fort Bend Chamber for hosting this outstanding event, and to Safari Texas Ranch for providing such a beautiful venue and helping create a wonderful experience for everyone in attendance.

🏛️ State of the City 2026

Richmond's story is one of progress, resilience, and community. As we reflect on the accomplishments of the past year and look ahead to the future, I am grateful for the residents, businesses, community organizations, and city team members who help make Richmond such a special place to call home.

The State of the City is an opportunity to share where we are, celebrate what we've achieved together, and discuss the exciting opportunities ahead for our community.

Thank you to the Central Fort Bend Chamber for hosting this annual event and for their continued partnership in supporting Richmond's success.

I enjoyed spending time with Marvin Marcell and State Representative Matt Morgan discussing important issues and priorities that may impact Richmond and communities across Texas during the upcoming 90th Legislative Session.

These conversations and strong partnerships are an important part of making sure our residents' interests remain at the forefront as new legislation is considered.

A special thank you to Pier 36 Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar - Richmond for the wonderful food, warm hospitality, and welcoming atmosphere that made for a great setting to connect and collaborate.
