The Richmond Police Department had a great time working with our new partner(s) Bradley and Addison this morning. They were the lucky winners for The Richmond Grade School PTO fundraiser. They got to tour the Richmond Police Department, squad car, and eat donuts 🍩 (Our Favorite Part) before getting a ride to school in style! 🚔

The Village Hall office (5600 Hunter Drive) is an Operation Drop Box location!

Operation Dropbox is a multi-county initiative running for the duration of May, with donation sites at participating businesses, churches, libraries, and organizations across McHenry, Lake, and Boone counties. Medical Reserve Corps volunteers in McHenry and Lake counties will collect and deliver donated items, all of which support Veterans Path to Hope, a local nonprofit that provides veterans with housing and employment services, transitional living support, basic needs such as food, furniture, and household goods, peer support, caregiver training, and counseling. To learn more about Veterans Path to Hope, call (815) 321-4673 or visit veteranspathtohope.org.

Community Reminder! Some residents are receiving phone calls, texts and emails where an unknown subject is advising that they work for the Government or Police Agency (U.S. Marshal, Sheriff's Office, etc.) and requesting money being shipped, wired, or via gift cards to release them from FAKE arrest warrants.

Always remember that government agencies will NEVER request you to send money through the U.S mail, FEDEX/UPS or via gift cards to release yourself from a warrant. Often times credentials are sent to you to help support their story and are AI generated and are NOT real.

Do NOT be scared into sending money quickly if you are not familiar with who the person is. Please call the Richmond Police Department with any questions and we will help navigate through the situation safely, together.
