Our Garden family and our community have lost a bright light with the passing of Jonah Holland last weekend. While cycling, Jonah was fatally struck by a motorist. Jonah started the Garden’s social media presence and for 14 years built it to become nationally recognized as an example of best practices in social media. Jonah was known as an expert in the field and touched many lives as she told the Garden’s stories, built community and generously shared her knowledge. Jonah was an inspiration and a natural connector. She was deeply passionate about her work and especially the relationships with you—members of the Garden’s social media community. She fiercely loved her family, friends and coworkers. We will be grieving her loss with you. Plans are being made for a memorial service at a later date. We are honoring the wishes of her family for privacy during this extremely difficult time.
