Despite a little rain trying to slow us down, our 3rd Annual Goodwill Inspired Boots & Buckles Fundraiser was an incredible success!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, supported, donated, volunteered, and helped make this event so special. Because of your generosity, American Legion J.E. Lanier Post 27 exceeded our fundraising goal.

These funds will help us:

⭐ Provide scholarships to deserving students
⭐ Support Richmond Hill High School programs
⭐ Sponsor Boys State and Girls State participants
⭐ Assist veterans and military families facing unexpected emergencies

This is more than just a night out—it’s an opportunity to help us build something our veterans truly need: a permanent home.

Our vision is to create a dedicated space where veterans can come together for camaraderie, access mental health and su***de prevention programs, and continue serving and supporting one another. We already have the land—now we need your help to bring the building to life.

Combat Zone 360, a national organization committed to entertaining veterans and supporting su***de prevention through comedy, is bringing their show to support this mission. We are honored to be one of their featured stops.

Tomorrow, the Veteran Cancer Network’s Pedal for Impact will riders will arrive in Savannah as they continue their inspiring journey from Florida to Washington, D.C., raising awareness and support for veterans impacted by cancer.

My Veterans Place Savannah is honored to support this mission by sponsoring their hotel accommodations during their stay in our community.

Please join us in welcoming these dedicated riders and thanking them for every mile they travel to make a difference for our nation’s veterans.

Did you know June 12th is recognized as Women’s Veteran Recognition Day?? 🫡

American Legion Post 322 recognizes June 12th as Women’s Veteran Recognition Day.

In more than 20 states, June 12 is designated as Women Veterans Recognition Day. It commemorates the June 12, 1948, signing into law by President Harry S. Truman of the Women's Armed Services Integration Act, which enabled women to serve as permanent, regular members of the U.S. Armed Forces.

The day is set aside to thank to all women who have served in the U.S. military.
