Thank you to everyone who stopped by our First Saturday book sale this weekend. It was wonderful seeing familiar faces, meeting new people, and talking all things books, libraries and Friends groups! If you donated books, volunteered in the book room, staffed the sale, shared our event, browsed our shelves or made a purchase, we appreciate you. It takes a village, and we're thrilled you're part of ours.

Our next sale is Thursday, June 18, from 2-4:30 p.m. at the Richmond Hill Public Library - USA. Our Saturday sale was so successful, our shelves are looking a little bare. If you have gently used books, especially fiction, please consider donating them to us.

We sincerely appreciate everyone who volunteered for, donated to and, most importantly, shopped our May 21 book sale!

Proceeds from these fund-raising events help the Richmond Hill Public Library - USA expand their collections, create programming, and engage the community. This month, your purchases will provide the library with 31 (!) new books for RHHS summer-reading requirements.

We couldn't do it without each and every one of you, so from the bottom of our ❤️❤️❤️, thank you!

Don't take your best books to the beach. Come to our Third Thursday Book Sale from 2-4:30 p.m. May 21 at the Richmond Hill Public Library - USA to get bargain books perfect for sun, sand and water!

Our donors have been very generous, so we have LOTS of new inventory on our shelves, from CDs and DVDs to hard-cover and paperback books.

Plus, we're ready to make some deals to start your summer right: All Last Chance books are 4 for $1 (romances, anyone?) and all cookbooks are half off.

We hope to see our and their friends there!

Heartfelt congratulations to Ava Follansbee, who earned the 2026 Kate Barker Memorial Scholarship!

Named in honor of the former Richmond Hill Public Library - USA library manager, this scholarship recognizes academic achievement, community service, and a love of literature.

We appreciate everyone who applied for the scholarship and wish Ava all the best as she starts college at the University of Georgia.

The deadline to submit applications to the Richmond Hill Public Library - USA is March 2.
