There is no Free Movie Day without Fairchild Cinemas - Southgate.
Thank you to Fairchild Cinemas, our Presenting Sponsor, who is donating all ten of their auditoriums, their time, and their staffing hours for September 26.
Think about what that means. On a Saturday morning, one of the busiest times of their week, Fairchild is closing their doors to regular business and handing the entire theater to our community. Their staff will be there running projectors, working the lobby, and helping 1,500 of our neighbors find their seats. Those are real hours and real wages that Fairchild is giving, not just a room.
They are also working with us on sensory-friendly showings and a Spanish-language showing, so families who usually cannot sit through a movie in public get to have that ordinary Saturday morning together. Lights up a little, sound down a little, nobody shushing anybody. Come as you are.
Because the theater, the time, and the staffing are all donated, every dollar our community raises goes straight into services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, instead of into the cost of putting on the day.
