🚔 A big thank you to our Richland Police Officers! 👏

On June 2, 2026, Richland Police Department conducted a successful interdiction operation that resulted in the interception and apprehension of multiple wanted persons. Our officers’ diligence and professionalism led to the arrest of individuals with active felony warrants, including one for delivery and manufacturing of narcotics.

Additional charges of felon in possession of a firearm (previous felonies - 1. sexual assault of a minor causing injury. 2. Kidnapping.) and carrying a concealed weapon are also being submitted to the Kalamazoo County Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for review.

This is exactly the kind of proactive police work that helps keep our community safer. Thank you, Richland Police Officers, for your dedication, vigilance, and commitment to serving and protecting our residents every single day.
You have our full support and gratitude! đź’™

When traveling south on 32nd/M43, please be aware there is a white line on the road that sets back from the traffic light. It is like this on purpose! Do not stop beyond that line. If a semi truck is coming from the east and needs to turn the corner to go north, you will be in a hazardous position on the road if you stop beyond the white line! The semi needs the extra room to be able to turn safely. Thank you!

The SAFER by 2030 initiative is more than a campaign—it’s a movement to change how we think about driving. Every life lost on Michigan roads is preventable, and every driver has the power to make a difference. By committing to safer habits, obeying traffic laws, and respecting others on the road, we can reduce fatalities by 30% by the year 2030. This collaborative effort—that includes more than a dozen traffic safety partners and state agencies—isn’t just about numbers, it’s about families, friends, and communities who deserve to arrive safely at their destinations.
