Good morning, everyone. We would like to share some exciting news with you all!!
About a month ago, Sara Artley and one of our volunteer firefighters (Krislyn Dennis) met up at the library in Richland, and this is what Sara said:
"So, the Chautauqua Festival donates to a local nonprofit every year. This year, we had voted early to choose the Eagle Valley Rural Fire Protection District as our nonprofit of choice. This year, we also voted to increase the percentage that we were donating specifically for the fire department over what we normally do. Since proceeds are up this year, the donation ended up being higher than normal. Also, for those two reasons, proceeds were up and the percentage was increased, so we appreciate you guys. Thank you."
The Chautauqua board was very kind and wrote a check for the Eagle Valley Fire Department, with the check and the fundraisers weve been doing for “ our storage shipping container” we were able to get one for our trainings!” The fire department would like to say a big thank you to the Chautauqua music festival board and to our community for all your help!
