🏆 City Utilities of Richland Center Honored at the MEUW Annual Conference 🏆

City Utilities of Richland Center is proud to announce several outstanding recognitions received at the Municipal Electric Utilities of Wisconsin (MEUW) Annual Conference.

🎖️ Scott Sawle, Commission President, received the prestigious Phillip F. La Follette Public Official Award in recognition of his 29 years of dedicated service to City Utilities and the Richland Center community.

⚡ John Collins, Utility Commissioner, received the Charlie Bradburn Pillars of Public Power Award in recognition of his 10 years of service and commitment to public power.

🦺 The City Utilities Electric Department received the Gold Level Safety Award, recognizing the department’s continued commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.

🏅 City Utilities Electric also received the inaugural “Work It Safe” Recognition, presented to utilities that have earned MEUW’s Safety Achievement Award 25 times.

This award is named in honor of Randy Larson, whose signature phrase, “Work It Safe,” has long encouraged utility workers to keep safety top of mind throughout his career developing and training electric journeymen linemen.

City Utilities of Richland Center was one of only three public utilities in Wisconsin to achieve this remarkable 25-year safety milestone.

📢 2026 Water Main Flushing Schedule 📢

The City Water Utilities Department will begin annual water main flushing Monday, May 11 through Friday, May 22. Flushing will occur weekdays beginning around 6:00 AM and continue through the afternoon.

🚰 During flushing, residents throughout the City may notice rusty or cloudy water and temporary drops in water pressure. The water remains safe to drink, but discolored water may stain laundry.
