Neighborhood Housing Services of Southwest Wisconsin (NHS of SW WI) was established in 1983 as a private, non-profit community controlled corporation with a volunteer board and committees. NHS of SW WI is a charter member of Neighborworks America net-work, and the first rural NeighborWorks Organization (NWO) in America. Our vision is to build partnerships that increase the capital of our communities.

How does NHS down payment assistance work?

NHS down payment and closing cost assistance is a 0% interest deferred loan. It's secured by a second loan.. You make no payments to NHS while you live in the house. The original loan amount is due when you sell the property, if the property is no longer your primary residence.
