Tyson Hansen for Mayor of Richfield

Tyson Hansen for Mayor of Richfield While working at the City, I took pride in seeing something that needed fixing and making it better. But I never stopped caring about the direction of our city.

Tyson Hansen is a husband, father of four, former city finance director, and small business owner who’s ready to lead Richfield with faith, transparency, and real-world results. I'm a husband, father of four, former city finance director, and small business owner who's ready to lead Richfield with faith, transparency, and real-world results. I've spent my career in both the private and public sect

ors—starting out in the car business as a finance and sales manager, then stepping into public service where I managed multimillion-dollar budgets, reconciled city accounts, assisted in audits, and worked closely with department heads to plan, problem-solve, and build a better Richfield. I led the charge to redesign the city website, implemented a payroll process that saved hundreds of hours, secured a state grant to launch a citywide communication tool that helps residents stay informed with real-time text and email updates, and more. Eventually, I made a career shift into real estate—something I've always been passionate about. I now run a successful business helping families buy, sell, and invest in our local area. I believe Richfield's best days are ahead—and I'm running for mayor to make sure we lead with vision, not just maintenance. This isn't about politics. It's about service. And I'm ready to go to work for you.

Well… we came up 44 votes shy. Less than 2%.
I sincerly want to thank each and every
supporter. We couldn’t have done it without you, and it means the world to me 💙

I wanted Richfield to be a place where anyone could level up… where our kids could find good work, build a life, and raise their families right here at home. I didn’t get that chance this time, but the future is still bright, and I’m committed to helping us get there.

Looking back on the campaign, some parts were tough.
Seeing comments from people who don’t know me, questioning my character or intentions, wasn’t easy.

You can do everything right.
You can treat people with respect.
You can show up when they need you.
You can have a heart of pure gold.

But at the end of the day, not everyone is going to like you.
No matter how hard you try.

You can’t fix it.
And you shouldn’t try.

You just have to let it go.

It’s not about holding onto bitterness.
It’s about acceptance.

Their opinion doesn’t define you.
What matters is being able to lay your head down at night and say,
“I made a positive difference today.”

My faith in God…
My wife…
My family…
My close friends…
That’s what matters most.

I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m excited for it.
I’ll keep showing up.
Building.
Creating.
Growing into the person I’m meant to become.

Better things are ahead.

Thank you Richfield. 💙

Grateful for you all!

As this campaign comes to a close, I’ve been thinking about all the great conversations we’ve had. Knocking doors, meeting folks, taking phone calls and talking about our shared love for Richfield has been a highlight for me.
If you haven’t voted yet, polls are open at the Sevier County, Utah Fairgrounds until 8:00 pm. I’d be honored to earn your vote.
Thank you for the support, the encouragement, and the honest discussions. No matter what happens tonight, I’m grateful for this experience and for this community.

Great night at the Intermountain Business Alliance Forum at Snow College.
It was great to hear from Congresswoman Celeste Maloy, Congressman Mike Kennedy, Representative Carl Albrecht, Senator Derrin Owens, and others who took the time to listen to rural Utah. This is what it’s all about, open dialogue and working together to find solutions that actually help our communities.
It would be fun to do this same kind of forum for Richfield City, so local citizens can connect directly with their elected officials and have their voices heard.

I want to be clear. I had nothing to do with the flyer that went out about my opponent.
From the start, I’ve promised to run a clean campaign, and I’ve stuck to that. Let’s keep focusing on what matters most, our community, our values, and the future we’re building together. Thanks to everyone who’s stayed positive and respectful. That’s what makes Richfield the place we all love 💙
