🧹Happy School Custodian Appreciation Day!

Today, we celebrate our amazing custodial team and thank them for all they do to keep our schools clean, safe, and ready for learning. Their hard work and dedication make a difference every day, including throughout the summer!

A special thank-you to Mrs. Schroeder and Ms. Greer, and our night cleaning crew, Ms. Rozich, Ms. Roznowski, Mr. Rusteika, Mr. Wehrhahn, and Mrs. Pike. While not everyone is pictured, we appreciate every member of our custodial team and all they do for our school community!

A group of HHASD staff members and their families had a great time coming together for the United Way Campaign Kickoff at Moraine Park Technical College! 🎉 Between the fun, laughter, and teamwork, everyone had a chance to make a difference by packing snack bags for local schools and nonprofit organizations. 🥨

Our district theme this year is GROW, and this event was a wonderful example of how we can grow ourselves, grow together, and Grow Our Impact in the community! 🌱

🌿🌲 Rain or shine, our 7th graders had an amazing day at Riveredge Nature Center! 🌧️🔬

Students explored how plants, animals, fungi and nonliving elements interact within an environment. They got hands-on experience using scientific tools to collect, record and analyze data while investigating pond, forest and prairie ecosystems. 🐸🌱

Lunch Fun with Mrs. Restivo!

Mrs. Restivo recently spent some time with a group of 6th grade girls for a fun lunch together! 🥪😊 The girls shared how much they are loving being back at school with their friends, laughing, having fun, and enjoying time together at recess and lunch.

✨ Raiders Spreading Positivity!

On Friday, September 11, 6th grade students in Mrs. D’Alessio’s Science class took part in this month’s Character DARE!

Students filled the blacktop with positive, encouraging messages for our school community to enjoy. 🫶📝🌟

Our 7th and 8th graders had an incredible, transformative day at the Youth Frontiers Courage Retreat! Through fun activities, honest conversations, and powerful reflective moments, our students learned what it truly means to follow their hearts, stand up for one another, and build a supportive community where everyone feels like they belong.

A huge thank you to the team at Youth Frontiers for inspiring our students to lead with empathy and act with courage every day! 💙
