We are incredibly proud to announce the promotion of Ryan Kellackey to Assistant Chief of the Richfield Police Department. He was sworn in by Mayor Michael Wheeler at the Village Council meeting on May 19th. Assistant Chief Kellackey has dedicated 10 years to the force and will do an excellent job of continuing to lead in his new role.

Congratulations to Assistant Chief Paul Fister on his retirement after 30 years of service to our community! We sincerely thank and commend Assistant Chief Fister for his leadership, community policing and recruiting efforts that were beneficial to the Richfield Community. With a renowned career as Patrolman, Sergeant, SWAT Team and Assistant Chief. Thank you for all your years of distinguished service to the Richfield Police Department.

Does anybody recognize this dog and know who the owner is? found running loose on Brecksville Rd between Boston Rd and Cozumels. No collar (although it appears she had one) no ID tags or microchip. The 2026 Police Unity Tour was more than just a ride — it was a journey of remembrance, honor, and brotherhood. Every mile pedaled was for the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, and for the men and women who continue to put on the badge and serve with courage every single day.

Through every storm cloud and every ray of sunshine, we rode together — surrounded by our brothers and sisters in blue, united by purpose, loyalty, and sacrifice. The pain of the ride fades, but the meaning behind it never will.

Honored to ride beside such incredible people and to carry the memories of our fallen heroes with us every mile of the way. We ride for those who can no longer ride themselves. 💙🚴‍♂️🇺🇸
