Dallas Chinese Community Center 達拉斯華人活動中心 The Dallas Chinese Community Center (DCCC) serves both the Asian and the non-Asian Communities in the DFW region.

緣起

達拉斯華人活動中心成立於1985年4月，為北德州地區第一個亞裔人士組成的活動中心。當年由一批來自臺灣、香港等地的華人集資創立，後曾獲得臺灣僑務單位的補助，服務僑胞前後二十年。多年來在本地華人的努力下，中文書籍、電腦設備、中國歷代服裝、文物等陸續充實，而成為達拉斯，甚至北德州地區有關中華文化資源與人才最豐富的一個組織，也因此使中心成為服務華人，向主流社會宣揚中華文化的最佳組織與地點。

改制

自2001年起，本中心的經營轉交華人社區後，成為一個非政治、非宗教、非營利的機構。由熱心人士組成理事會，負責華人活動中心的日常營運與所需經費的籌募。

現況

目前，這個位於李察遜市中國城內的「華人活動中心」有大廳、圖書室（中文圖書及雜誌供會員借出）、會議室、及電腦教室等。平常除圖書室開放供民眾使用外，每週並開設電腦、功夫、中國書法、舞蹈、桌球、太極拳等教學活動。

期許

「為所有來自世界各

地的華人提供一個傳承中華文化、教育、及休閒的場所，並成為與主流社會互相交流的窗口」這是達福地區所有華人的共同心願。而它更需要的是大家共同努力與合作。俗話說「眾人添材火焰高」，「聚沙成塔」，活動中心需要可觀的經費才得以維持，「我們的服務相信是大家看得見、享受得到的。希望您是常來活動中心的朋友，更是熱心捐獻的一員，讓達拉斯華人活動中心因為有您的一點助掖而能永續發展。

This year, we were delighted to welcome more than 100 families to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival together. From cultural games inspired by festival traditions to hands-on crafts, the afternoon was filled with laughter, learning, and family fun.

This event also marked the official launch of the DCCC Youth Leadership Program! A big thank-you to our enthusiastic youth volunteers for their energy, dedication, and willingness to serve the community while helping share cultural traditions. 💪

🧑‍⚕️ 感謝 Parkland Health 蒞臨 DCCC 舉辦攝護腺健康講座。本次講座從常見的攝護腺肥大與發炎症狀談起，進一步介紹攝護腺癌的發展過程、風險因子與可能警訊，並分享目前的治療選項與醫療進展，幫助民眾及早認識、及早預防。

🩺 健康不必等到出現問題才開始重視，及早了解，就是最好的預防。

🚹 Many men stay on top of their blood pressure and cholesterol but often overlook their prostate health. Symptoms such as frequent urination, nighttime urination, or difficulty urinating can significantly affect daily life.

🧑‍⚕️ Thank you to Parkland Health for presenting this educational seminar. The session covered common non-cancerous prostate conditions, prostate cancer development and warning signs, as well as current treatment options and advances in care.

🩺 Awareness is the first step toward prevention.
