We are so grateful for everyone who showed up every week to learn more about our fire department. This class truly had a special bond and we hope to see each and every one of them join our Citizen Fire Academy Alumni Association!

Congratulations CFA Class 28, we will miss spending our Wednesday nights with you!

On 2/4/2026, Station 1 B-shift responded to a witnessed cardiac arrest. Upon arrival, RPD officers were performing CPR and had delivered a shock with their AED.  The patient regained ROSC (return of spontaneous circulation) and the A31 and E1 crew continued care and made the decision to activate the ECMO team at Presbyterian Dallas.

The quick action of RPD officers and continued care from RFD members were instrumental in delivering the patient to Presbyterian Dallas ER, where care was continued, and the patient was discharged from the hospital after being evaluated and treated by Hospital Staff. Presbyterian Dallas ECMO and Cardiac team came by earlier this week to review the case with Station 1B members and to congratulate them on a job well done.
