Yesterday Driver/Engineers Beau Stevens, Brandon Porter, and Chris Anderson joined their fellow first responders at the Dallas 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at the Comerica Tower in Downtown Dallas.

In full bunker gear, they climbed 110 floors to honor the 343 firefighters, 70 law enforcement officers, and 9 EMS workers who gave their lives on September 11, 2001.

Each step was taken in remembrance, carrying the name of a fallen firefighter to symbolically finish the climb with them. Batallion Chief Buddy Hughes joined in as a spectator to support.

As we approach the 25th anniversary, we are so proud of these guys for carrying this tradition forward, ensuring that the heroes of 9/11 are never forgotten.

🚨 Deployment update 🚨

Our deployed members have been busy with EMTF providing medical support for the fires. Here is a summary of what they’ve been up to:

8/12-8/13: Bufford Creek Fire (3249 acres in Stephen’s County)

8/14: Woodson Creek Fire

8/15-8/16: Woodson Creek Fire (4627 acres in Throckmorton County)

8/17: Mulberry Creek Fire (81 acres in Taylor County)

8/18 - 8/19: Casey Lake Fire (443 acres in Shackelford County)

8/21 & 8/23: Moore Canyon Fire (81 acres in Motley County)

Currently they are on the Ross fire in Palo Pinto County (50,000 acres).

A few weeks ago, Chief Younger, Chief King, COR Fleet Tech Admir, and Station 4 Driver/Engineers Beau Stevens, Ronnie Kemp, and Josh Crowl went to Appleton, WI to visit Pierce Manufacturing for a final walk through of our new Truck 4!

The pre-delivery inspection allows our team to test drive the truck, inspect it for any changes, and get a final look before delivery. Stay tuned to see final photos once it’s in service!

🚨DEPLOYMENT UPDATE🚨

As of August 13, Deputy Chief David English and Captain Tyler Paget have also deployed as Medical Unit Leader and Technical Specialist of EMTF Team 25 in support of wild land fire activity in the Big Country region of Texas.

They are currently assisting at the Woodson Creek Fire in Throckmorton County.

This morning, Firefighter/Paramedic Willie Spencer and Firefighter/Paramedic Tyler French were deployed to Stephens County to assist the Bufford Creek Fire as part of EMTF.
