Rice Family Fun Days

Hello Rice Day Committee supporters,
We have an important announcement to share regarding the Rice Day Committee. Our volunteers have worked hard over the past several years to fundraise for our annual city celebration for all to enjoy. Recently, we have been reaching out to other organizations in the community to find help to keep to committee afloat without any success. At this time, we have made the difficult decision to disband the Rice Days Committee and have proceeded in donating the remaining funds accrued (just over $10,000) to the Rice Police and Fire Departments, The Volleyball ‘Bash for the Cure’ (an American Cancer Society Fundraiser), the Rice Legion ‘The Wall That Heals’ event, Rice Area Food Shelf and the Sauk Rapids-Rice Public School District. We thank you for your past support and hope that you find value in your past contributions being utilized within the community.

Hello friends –

The health and safety of our community, guests, volunteers and vendors is our top priority. We are extremely disappointed, but know that the right decision has been made based on the potential impossibility of monitoring and enforcing social distancing requirements and disinfecting protocols.

Please know that this was an extremely difficult decision for the committee to make but regretfully, we have decided to cancel the 2020 Rice Family Fun Day Event.

We will still be fundraising through the sale of raffle tickets to help cover prepaid expenses and look forward to your understanding and support to make sure the 2021 Rice Family Fun Day Event is more EPIC than ever!
