Smith Island, Maryland Smith Island is one of the best kept secrets in the United States. Only 12 miles offshore from Crisfield, MD We kayak, bicycle, boat, fish and crab there.

Smith Island is one of the most unique places in the world. It is one of the only places left where there is still a dialect from the Elizabethan Era. The first time I went to this island I fell in love with it. Everyone treats you like family, everyone knows each other and everyone cares for each other. Within a month of going there I bought a house there. My 4 year old daughter and 6 year old so

n just love spending time there. There is no ambient noise of traffic. Just the breeze of the wind coming off of the bay.

The ferry owned by Otis Tyler runs from Crisfield, MD to Smith Island everyday. The Smith Island Ferry Schedule is as follows: Leaves for Smith Island at 12:30pm and again at 5pm. Leaves for the mainland (Crisfield) every day at 7:30am and 4pm. If you have any questions regarding the Ferry, please let us know and we will put you in contact with the Ferry owner.
