🌱 It’s International Compost Awareness Week! 🌎♻️
Did you know that composting your unwanted food scraps can help reduce waste, cut down on methane emissions, and create nutrient-rich soil for gardens and plants? 🍎🥬🍂

Instead of tossing food scraps in the trash, give them a second life through composting! Small changes at home can make a big difference for our planet. 🌍💚

Start simple: collect fruit and vegetable scraps, coffee grounds, eggshells, and yard waste — then turn them into something beneficial for the earth. 🌿

A great start to 2026 for the Glass4Good Program ♻️

Thank you O-I for your continued efforts and collaboration in helping to keep our communities clean while also supporting our local economy.

The provided Q1 2026 newsletter states that 53 tons of glass has been collected so far. Great job everyone!

Recycling glass does more than reduce waste—it helps conserve energy, protect natural resources, and support healthier communities.

Jefferson County should be proud of the impact their recycling efforts have produced so far.

Your continued recycling efforts of glass, plastic, cardboard, paper and tin help keep our slice of planet earth clean and beautiful.
Thank you!🌍

The Glass4Good program, developed by O-I nearly five years ago, turns recycled glass into real impact—saving energy, conserving natural resources, and keeping waste out of Jefferson County landfills. Thanks to the community’s commitment to recycling, glass collected from drop-off sites provided by the JCSWA in partnership with O-I, has helped recycle an impressive 167 tons of glass in 2025.
Great job & keep on recycling Jefferson County!♻️👏

BROCKWAY — Although the Glass4Good™ program was only started in 2021 at the O-I Glass Brockway-Crenshaw plant, it has already donated over $25,000 to local organizations, including the Brockway School
