We are accepting donations to cover funeral expenses for our brother, Tyler Norwood. All donations will be used to cover funeral expenses and any remaining proceeds will be utilized to help support his daughter’s financial future.

Truro Township is mourning the loss of Firefighter Tyler Norwood, who passed away in the early hours this morning. Firefighter Norwood served his community with dedication and pride. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tyler’s family, friends, and our brothers and sisters in the fire service as we navigate this loss together. Today we pause to recognize that behind every turnout coat, and behind every emergency call, there is a human, one who carries the weight of what they’ve seen, what they’ve done, and who they couldn’t save.

For firefighters and first responders, the job doesn’t end when the call stops. The memories, the pressure, and the expectation to “stay strong” follow us long after we hang up the gear. But strength isn’t silence… strength is speaking up, it’s checking on your crew, and it’s taking care of your mind as fiercely as you take care of others.

Local 2932 stands with every brother and sister in the fire service who’s fighting battles no one else can see. You are not alone. Whether it’s a call to a friend, a conversation at the kitchen table, or reaching out to a brother or sister you’re concerned about, those steps matter.

Let’s keep breaking the stigma. Let’s keep showing up for each other, and be kind to one another, because you never know the things some are facing in private.

Today members of Local 2932, 3 Unit, trained on ladder bail-outs. “Bailing Out” is trained on regularly to ensure firefighters are prepared to escape rapidly changing and deteriorating conditions inside of a structure fire.
