💙 **KUDOS TO OUR FINEST!** 🚔🩸
Please join us in congratulating **Officer Boyt** and **Officer Joiner** of the Reynolds Police Department! 🎉
Both officers have successfully completed the rigorous **Law Enforcement Phlebotomy** course at West Georgia Technical College. 🎓✨
# # # What does this mean for our community?
With this specialized certification, Officer Boyt and Officer Joiner are now fully qualified to perform legal blood draws for DUI investigations. They are currently the only law enforcement officers in the county that have this achievement! This achievement is a major win for efficiency and justice in our area:
* **Faster Processing:** We can now streamline DUI investigations right here, keeping our officers on the street instead of waiting at hospitals.
* **Stronger Cases:** Timely, properly collected evidence ensures our roads stay safer and our cases remain rock-solid.
* **Supporting Our Neighbors:** This certification doesn't just help Reynolds! Our officers are now equipped and ready to assist and support our surrounding brother and sister law enforcement agencies when they need a certified phlebotomist on the scene. 🤝
> "Continuous training and professional growth are vital to serving our community with excellence. We are incredibly proud of Officer Boyt and Officer Joiner for putting in the hard work to bring this critical skill back to our department." — Chief of Police Lonnie Holder
>
Thank you, officers, for your dedication to keeping Reynolds—and our neighboring communities—safe!

🚨 **ATTENTION REYNOLDS COMMUNITY!** 🚨
We want to remind all residents about the City of Reynolds Juvenile Curfew Ordinance. Our priority is the safety and well-being of all our youth and the tranquility of our neighborhoods.
Please be aware that the **Reynolds Police Department will be actively enforcing the curfew for all minors 16 years of age or younger.**
**What this means for your children:**
Minors are prohibited from being in public places and buildings, or in any place unsupervised by a parent or guardian, between the hours of **11:00 P.M. and 5:00 A.M.** every day.
We encourage you to review the specific exceptions—such as emergency errands, school/entertainment activities, or lawful employment—with your children. These are clearly outlined in the ordinance, and also summarized in our helpful guide below.
**What this means for parents and guardians:**
We need your partnership. It is the responsibility of parents and guardians to ensure their minors are not in violation of the curfew.
⚠️ **Penalties:** Initial violations will result in a **Warning Citation**. Subsequent convictions are subject to significant penalties, including **fines up to $500.00**, up to **30 days in jail**, or both, and potential community labor. Each violation is a separate offense.
Let's work together to keep Reynolds safe and supportive for our families. If you have any questions, please contact the Reynolds Police Department.

🎓 **CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CLASS OF 2026!** 🎓 The Reynolds Police Department is thrilled to extend heartfelt congratulations to the outstanding Taylor County High School seniors who have reached this remarkable milestone. Your perseverance and dedication have paid off, and Chief Lonnie Holder and the Reynolds Police Department couldn't be prouder of your achievements. As you celebrate this triumph, let's ensure a safe passage into the next chapter of your journey. Parents and graduates, please keep these crucial safety tips in mind: * 🚗 **Stay Focused on the Road:** Anticipate heavy traffic around the venue and town, keep phones off-limits, buckle up, and maintain your concentration. * 🛑 **Drive Sober:** Today is about illuminating futures, not letting mistakes define them – never drink and drive, and never ride with someone who's been drinking. * **Look Out for Each Other:** If heading to after-parties, use the buddy system and ensure everyone has a safe, sober ride home. * **See Something, Say Something:** If a situation feels off or unsafe, trust your instincts and seek help. Congratulations, Vikings! Go change the world with purpose and celebrate responsibly!
