🚨 Today is . 🚨

Help the Eating Disorders Coalition for Research, Policy & Action advocate for better access to eating disorder care by urging Members of Congress to co-sponsor the bipartisan Nutrition CARE Act.

This legislation would expand Medicare coverage to include Medical Nutrition Therapy for individuals with eating disorders, helping more people access the nutrition counseling and support they need for recovery.

June 2 is World Eating Disorders Action Day. 🌎💜 Access to eating disorder care matters, and advocacy plays an important role in creating meaningful change.

This year, the Eating Disorders Coalition (EDC) is encouraging advocates to support the bipartisan Nutrition CARE Act, which would expand coverage for Medical Nutrition Therapy (dietitian services) and make it easier for individuals with eating disorders to access nutritional counseling and support.

Currently, Medicare only covers outpatient nutritional services for individuals diagnosed with diabetes or end-stage renal disease. This legislation would help address that gap for those impacted by eating disorders.

If you have one minute today, you can use EDC’s action alert to contact your Members of Congress and encourage them to co-sponsor the Nutrition CARE Act.

Supporting a child through eating disorder recovery can feel overwhelming, especially when you are not always sure what to say or do.

One of the most meaningful ways to support your child is to lead with compassion, patience, and a willingness to learn. Recovery is not about perfection, and your support does not have to be perfect either.

Small moments of understanding, calm, encouragement, and connection can make a difference.

If your child is struggling with an eating disorder, support is available. 💜

Recovery is not one-size-fits-all. Each person’s path can look different, and that does not make it any less valid. 🧭

Eating disorder recovery can come with ups and downs, setbacks, progress, uncertainty, and growth. There is no perfect timeline or single “right” way to heal.

Your journey is still real, even if it looks different from someone else’s.

Eating disorder recovery can feel heavy some days, and that does not mean you are failing.

Let this be your reminder that you are allowed to take up space, your thoughts are not always telling you the truth, and your worth has never been defined by a number, a size, or a reflection.

Recovery is not about being perfect. It is about continuing to show up for yourself with compassion, support, and care, one day at a time. 💜

It's Mental Health Awareness Month, and we're zooming in on what matters. Eating disorders are serious, sometimes fatal mental illnesses. Not a choice. Not a lifestyle.

If you or someone you love is struggling, know that help exists and recovery is possible. 💜

Journaling can offer a gentle place to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.

These prompts are not about having the “right” answer or writing perfectly. They are simply invitations to notice what you may be feeling, needing, learning, or working through with more compassion.

Eating disorder recovery is not always easy, but small moments of reflection can help you better understand your needs, honor your progress, and support your healing.

Try one prompt that feels supportive today, and let that be enough. 📝

Eating disorders do not have one “look.” They are incredibly diverse.

One of the most harmful myths about eating disorders is that someone must be visibly underweight to be struggling. In reality, fewer than 6% of people with eating disorders are medically diagnosed as “underweight.”

Eating disorders can affect people of all body sizes, shapes, ages, genders, races, and backgrounds. Someone’s appearance does not determine the severity of their illness or whether they deserve support.

This Earth Day, let it be a reminder to step outside, take a breath, and let yourself slow down. 🌎

A quiet walk, fresh air, a few deep breaths, or simply noticing the sun and breeze can be small ways to feel more grounded and connected.

Caring for yourself does not always have to look big. Sometimes it begins with a moment of stillness. 🌿🌞
