Reston Neighbors: Join us Monday, March 2 for a community meeting to learn about potential land use changes for 1950 Roland Clarke Place. The 3.5-acre site currently consists of a singular office structure. An amendment to the Comprehensive Plan is being considered to allow for townhouses, up to 20 dwelling units per acre.

The virtual community meeting will share more details and include an opportunity for the community to share comments and ask questions.

Are you concerned about the signage and lighting of the JW Marriott sign at Sunset Hills and Wiehle? RCA has received feedback from Supervisor Walter Alcorn and his office staff regarding opportunities to make our concerns known.

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the Sign Plan Amendment on Wednesday, January 14. Information about providing testimony at a Planning Commission public hearing can be found here: https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/planningcommission/ways-to-provide-public-hearing-testimony

In addition, Comstock will present to the Reston Planning and Zoning Committee (RP&Z), an independent committee that reviews land use applications in Reston, on Monday, January 26. Information about attending P&Z virtual meetings can be found on the Hunter Mill District website. Concerned residents are encouraged to attend and provide feedback at these meetings about perceived effects this new sign has had on the Reston community.

Dear Homeowners Association Representative,

In response to the direction from the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors per their August 26, 2025, Board Matter, the Fairfax County Department of Public Works and Environmental Services invites you to a public forum with other HOA leaders. At the forum, we will discuss the current state of waste collection and the potential creation of Unified Sanitation Districts for residential waste collection services. This forum for HOA representatives will provide an opportunity to share your valuable input with county staff, leadership and the community about the future of solid waste management in Fairfax County. The video recording of the meeting will be added to the USD webpage.
