The Housing Opportunities Collaborative is an initiative of Fairfax County is searching for rentals in Fairfax County. The Collaborative includes 11 non-profits dedicated to find homes for individuals and families. Currently Fairfax County is issuing 169 Emergency Housing Vouchers to families and individuals which are beneficial to landlords. Also, non- voucher families or individuals currently searching for a rental receive funding for security deposit and, in some cases, rental payments for a few months. If you have a rental unit in Fairfax County that you would like to have listed on the HOC database for participating non-profits to contact you about , please call John at 571-323-1408 Mon -Fri 9 - 5. We do not require the listing to be exclusive. We can discuss the qualifications to list rental units and the benefits of the HOC.
We welcome inquiries from private landlords and corporations owning rental property currently available or will be available in the near future.
There are landlord benefits provided including $700.00 to private landlords who lease rental to individuals or families with Emergency Housing Vouchers.
The HOC provides a service after lease up including aiding in risk mitigation. Membership requirements vary. There is no cost for this service or listing and timely contact from the HOC on status will be provided.
