Another great day at Rescue School. The crew got to congratulate the graduating 5th graders, enjoy the perfect meal, and then head straight to a vegetation fire. Over eating hotdogs and potato salad, the ideal fuel for fighting a vegetation fire… as reported by Firefighter Nugent.

Annual wildland fire refresher training done and dusted for 2026. Great day! Thanks Captain Warman for organizing a productive learning experience for the newest crew and a refresher for the others.

Well done training class 26-1, steadily advancing. They’ve now wrapped up Confined Space awareness, Hazmat FRO, and Fire Control 3, a multi-company vehicle extrication training, and successfully passed their Module 1 testing. Keep it up, team. Now on to wildland training!

What an amazing time at the 2025 Easter Pancake Breakfast & Egg Hunt! 🐣🥞 Huge thanks to the Scouts for their help with food prep and to RVFA for all their hard work behind the scenes. We feel so lucky to have such a caring community that comes together to make unforgettable memories ❤️. Can’t wait for next year!

This past weekend, Rescue Fire held our annual appreciation dinner; an opportunity to recognize the incredible people who make our department and community what it is.

We are proud to honor our dedicated staff, interns, trainees, administrative team, volunteers, spouses, and community members who continue to show up with commitment and heart.

Class of 2026 getting after it

This week our recruits took on Fire Control 3 (CSFM), training alongside Garden Valley Fire, Mosquito Fire Protection District, and Georgetown Fire.

Huge thank you to the full-time firefighters from Woodbridge Fire, Modesto Fire, and Stockton Fire who led the class, along with all the crews who showed up to support and make it happen.

Great training, a fun class, and an even better example of what happens when multiple agencies come together with one mission.

Proud of this group as they continue to grow into well-trained firefighters. The future is looking strong. Special thanks to Captain Harnage!

🚒 Rescue Fire Protection District – Toy Drive Drop-Off Site 🎁

Rescue Fire Protection District is proud to support the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office “Toys from the Bearcat” Toy Drive.

We are accepting new, unwrapped toys at Station 83 now through the morning of December 19. All donations will benefit children and families in our local community.
