The Republic Police Department was proud to host students from the Republic Intermediate Summer School program today!

During their visit, students explored behind the scenes and learned how our officers work each day to keep the community safe. Investing in young people and building positive connections is one of the most meaningful parts of our role.

We appreciate you spending the day with us!

Today we honor, remember, and pay tribute to Republic Town Marshal Mark Noe, whose End of Watch was June 2, 1929.

On June 2, 1929, Town Marshal Noe conducted a traffic stop involving two individuals on Main Street. During the stop, Marshal Noe was tragically shot and killed in the line of duty.

His courage, dedication, and sacrifice will never be forgotten. We continue to honor his memory and the service he gave to his community.
