Update. Water has been restored and the work has been completed.

The Pine Grove area will be without water today starting at 10:30am. We hope to have the necessary repairs completed within 1-2 hours. Thank you for your understanding.

7:08 PM Update. We have the parts in hand thanks to some help from the City of Colville PW's team. We are still aiming to have the repairs done around 8:00 PM tonight.

Please be advised that customers along the Pine Grove water line are currently experiencing—or may experience—intermittent loss of water service.

Our Public Works Crew is actively on-site at the fairgrounds repairing a broken water line. We expect this interruption in service to last for several hours.

Our current best estimate is that repairs will be completed by approximately 8:00 PM tonight. Please note that this is a rough estimate, and unforeseen complications could alter this timeline.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as our crew works as quickly and safely as possible to restore full service.

We will update this post as more information becomes available.

With the approval of the new City/County Criminal Justice Contracts, the City has requested that the Sheriff place an emphasis on nuisance problems within City limits during the month of September. The City has also scheduled another free metal pickup week during the week of September 21st to 25th to help City residents with any required cleaning they may have been notified about. You do not have to receive a notice from a deputy to participate in the free metal pickup, we want all our City residents to take advantage of this benefit! Hot water tanks, dryers, washing machines, metal car parts, doors, fenders, bumpers, rims, etc are all accepted for free disposal. Nothing longer than 10ft.
NO: Full vehicle bodies, tires, refrigerators, freezers, AC units, or anything containing freon.

Patterson Park Temporary Closure

On Saturday, August 22, 2026, half of Patterson Park will be closed for approximately five hours, beginning at 7:00 a.m., while tree work is being completed in the park.

CITY HALL FROST FREE UPDATE
To help our community members whose wells might be running low during these dry conditions, the City of Republic is keeping the frost-free water fill-up station at City Hall open every weekend in August to ensure everyone has access to clean drinking water.
Please note that City Hall is not staffed on weekends, so this program will operate entirely on the honor system.
• Cost: $5.00 per 100 gallons
• Payment Instructions: Payment envelopes are located next to the front door of City Hall. Please put your payment in the envelope and drop it into the secure drop box in the front door.

Ordinance 2026-02
On July 6, 2026, during a City Council meeting of the City of Republic, the Council voted to pass Ordinance 2026-02, which repeals section 13.04.360 of the Republic Municipal Code and updates W-S rates. Most users will see a small decrease in their monthly bills. The City will also be implementing a $2.50 late charge for bills not paid by the end of the day on the 15th of each month.
