The little free library (and our house) is up for sale. Fear not, we will do our best to ensure the new owners have all the tools necessary to continue maintaining the little free library.

Guess what? Total refresh! The library is fully restocked with new books, AND lots of GAMES!

We apologize for the lack of attention we have been paying to the library, but we're going to try and rectify that going forward.

We love seeing all the great books our community shares, especially all the wonderful children's books, and they will be cycled through to other area libraries.

We do have one request, however:

Our community is host to a wide range of people who come from a diverse cultural, ethnic, political and religious background. As such, any books or pamphlets that overtly promote a specific religion, political viewpoint, or are derogatory to a specific group of people will be donated to Cedar Grove recycling to be turned into compost.

Hey folks,
Are you bored to tears? Are you looking for some adventure? Come on over to the little free library! We recently got a huge donation of thrillers! Please feel free to be greedy with them! We'll be restocking weekly until our supply runs out, and any thrillers left at the end of the week will be donated to Goodwill, so help yourself!

Thank you all so much for visiting the library! It was FULL of great books! We pulled some out, and restocked with some really great books for both kids and parents! We're running short on games though, so if you have any games you no longer play, please consider donating them.

Fellow bibliophiles, we have a few announcements:

1. Thank you to all of you who have visited, donated, or simply smiled when you walk by! I went out to the library today to add some new games, and there was NO ROOM!

2. I made room to fit some new books and games into the library, there are two great family games, as well as a drawing book. There’s snow in the forecast, AGAIN, so make sure you have something fun to keep you occupied!

3. The Seattle Public Library system has their annual INSANELY HUGE book sale next month. It’s March 15-17, and books are CHEAP! $3 for old or rare books, $2 for adult books, $1 for children’s / YA books, $1 for audio books, DVD’s, CD’s, Records, and $2 for box sets. We really love being the stewards of the little free library. It's one of our more favorite things to do. We wanted to say "Thank You" to all who have visited since we opened. Right now, we average about 6-12 visits per week, and that's not too bad, but more is always better! Tell your neighbors to come by and look at our selection.

If there is something you feel the library is lacking in, please either let us know, or add it! We love it when a new book or game shows up, and it's also great to see a book return. If you see books held together with a rubber band, it's because they are part of a series. Feel free to grab the whole batch at once. That way, if you like the fist book, the others are on hand.

Make sure to walk by in the next week; there are new books and games. One game we are really excited to have found is called "Scrabble Flash". It has fresh batteries and is ready to entertain!

A friend of the Library has just released his first android game, and it is a word game! So of course, we're going to talk about it here! It's a fun word-search game with a "twist". You can find it in the android app store by searching for letterswirl, or by following the link below:

Both of us have been playing it for over a year, helping him with beta testing, and it is a wonderful game.

By the way, this game has single player, play-and-pass (using one phone), as well 2 player turn-based game play, so please give it a try, and if you like it, share and rate it!

We at the Cole's Little Free Book and Game Library realize that picking out a book can be a difficult decision, and sometimes you just need to sit and think on it. Well, we got you covered! Want to look through a few books before committing to the next one? Want to sneak in a quick story to your child? Try out our newly installed Book Evaluation and Nates Carrying Hub, or as we refer to it: B.E.N.C.H.

Also, since summer is coming (we hope), we have put out a dog water bowl, and will try to keep it topped up, in case you want a book break while walking your canine friend. Feel free to rest a while, and enjoy yourself!

I realized it's been a while since you have heard from us, but good things come to those who wait!

First off, there was an accidental surplus of Easter eggs, and my pants can't handle anymore candy! Drop by and grab a treat for yourself! Some eggs have candy, some have toys.

Second: NEW BOOKS! We refreshed the selection! Also, I want to thank those of you who have been putting your own books in the library as well. We have been averaging about 15 visits a week!

Third: New GAMES! What are they? Well, maybe you should swing by, and check it out!
