Oh what a year it has been!

✨ We performed with the Ferris State Orchestra back in November.
✨ We sold a ton of cheesecakes to raise money for the program and for our trip to Chicago.
✨ We performed at MSBOA District Festival as a string orchestra AND a symphony orchestra where both groups received a Division 1 rating! String Orchestra received straight 1s! (Our first time earning straight 1s in a while!)
✨ We took a trip to Chicago and got to perform in the Field Museum which was an incredible experience! And of course did all the tourist things while there!

This was quite the year for music at Chippewa Hills. Thank you to all of these students for being great and working hard all year. I hope you all have a great summer and keep making great music next year! While I may be gone, I will still be supporting you from afar! Words cannot express how proud I am of every single one of you.

The Chicago 2025 Trip is a wrap! Students had a blast getting to explore the Adler Planetarium, Field Museum, Navy Pier, Millenium Park, and Shedd Aquarium.
We had an awesome performance in the Field Museum on Friday! Then on Saturday, a fantastic music clinic at New Trier HS. Saturday night finished with deep dish pizza and the Chicago Symphony. Today we got to tilt out of a building and see some beautiful sights!
Lots of smiles, good music, and memories. Thank you to Bennett Travel and our tour director, Jeff, for organizing such a smooth trip and handling everything!!

A huge congratulations to these spectacular students! Freshman, Dory Simon, and junior, Aubrey Kanyo, both performed violin solos at District 1 Solo & Ensemble in Cadillac this morning. Their hard work has paid off as they have both received Division 1 ratings!!

Super proud of these two and how well they represent the Chippewa Hills orchestra program!

We are two days into our Max and Emily’s Cheesecake fundraiser and collectively our students have already sold 133 cheesecakes!! Proceeds go towards instrument repair, purchasing new music, and assist with the cost of traveling in the future.
Last year’s top selling flavor was Turtle with White Chocolate Raspberry as a close second!
Order forms and money are due to Ms. Bass on Monday, Dec. 2!

Today is our performance at Ferris State University! Doors open at 3:30 for a 4:00 performance in Williams Auditorium. Theme is “Stage and Screen”. Our high school students will be combining with the Ferris ensemble for the last two pieces.
