Tornado siren is currently down. In the meantime, the fire department will drive through town with sirens going for future storms until we can get the siren up and running again.. Thanks for your understanding...

Clean up day is June 2ND!! Yard waste, liquids, paint, lumber/construction debris, shingles, rocks/bricks, cement, windows, siding, tires & hazardous materials will NOT be accepted. Please have items out the night before or 7 AM at the latest.. Thank You...

Buena Vista county will be participating in a statewide tornado drill again this year on 3/25/26 at 10:00 a.m. All sirens in the county will sound at approximately 10:00 a.m. If there is severe weather that day, we will postpone to 3/26.

Hello from Our Saviors Lutheran in Rembrandt. Once again, our Sunday School will be assembling “Super Bowl Subs”. These are 9” long, 3 meats, 3 cheeses, a bag of chips, all for $5.00. It’s easy to freeze extras for a quick, easy meal later. Contact Hondo (Erik Mosbo- Facebook) or Angela Grienke for your order. Stop at our Hondo’s Sales or text or call me at 712-299-6009. These have been REALLY yummy for only $5.00. I know that I am going to buy more than I did last year. The freeze for later option played out well for Mariellen Mosbo and me. Last day to place your order is February 1st. Pay ahead or pay when you pick them up at our church or ask Hondo to store your order in our fridge at work.
