Last night our department members participated in hands-on training focusing on water supply and fireground operations. Members worked on drafting water from a drop tank, flowing water through two attack lines, and maintaining proper pump and nozzle pressures along with a small water shuttle!

Continued training and practice are essential to building teamwork, maintaining proficiency, and ensuring our department is prepared to respond safely and effectively for real-life calls 🔥🚒

Come join us for a community yard sale August 8th from 8am-12pm. If you’ve been wanting to have a yard sale bring your table and your items and come set up with us. We will be setting up in front of our training building across the street from the main station. Please do not park or set up tables in front of the Fire Department bay doors. Look forward to seeing everyone on the 8th!

Over the past two weekends, members of our department, along with personnel from several other departments, participated in an Emergency Vehicle Driver (EVD) course hosted by the Wentworth Fire Department.

☀️ A Heat Advisory is in effect from 11am-7pm Monday for portions of eastern NC.

Last night departments from Rockingham and adjoining counties meet at Camp Carefree and had a water event for their campers. There may have been a little friendly waterplay between departments too🤣

Tuesday night training focused on Scene management and Incident stabilization. Allowing members to step out of their comfort zone and step into a new role.

Tonight training consisted of search and rescue. Teaching our members different drags on how to get a victim out, along with what to do when you find more than one victim. Thank you Assistant Chief Hayes for your dedication to teaching our members!
