Neustadter Nature Center at Collins Marsh Neustadter Nature Center at Collins Marsh Collins Marsh is a 4,000 acre state wildlife area that offers excellent wetland habitat.

Our facilities include a nature center, screened in shelter, 110 foot tower, as well as a grill and bonfire pit. Birders, Hunters, Photographers, Kayakers, Hikers and Bikers will all find places to explore.

TAKE A HIKE!!!

Marsh Trail Walk TOMORROW May 30th 9am-11am.

Let’s see what each of our walking paths have to offer. This month- the Tower View Trail. Meet at the DNR parking lot at 1194 Collins Marsh Road, Reedsville, WI. Bring your binoculars, favorite nature apps and dress for the weather. Sturdy shoes, long pants and DEET repellent suggested to ward off ticks.

Please join us Saturday March 21, 2026 at 1pm for “Collins Marsh Birding Past and Present and the Importance of Using Ebird.” Local birder extraordinaire Bob Domagalski will provide insight into the many species of birds who make Collins Marsh their home as well as the migrating birds which use its vital resources as a stopover to their summer nesting sites and southern wintering grounds. Bob will discuss population trends across the years and explain how eBird, a powerful worldwide platform for documenting bird sightings and recordings, can be used to predict what species you might see on a trip to Collins Marsh.

Join us Saturday, February 21st in the Neustadter Nature Center to learn about the Motus wildlife tracking system in Wisconsin. Jacob Woulf from Lake Michigan Bird Observatory will be discussing Motus technology, Lake Michigan Bird Observatory's Motus objectives, and the importance of Motus in avian conservation. A Motus station was installed on the Collins Marsh Tower late last fall. Learn its purpose and how this international research project initiated by Birds Canada https://motus.org/ is being used right here in our neighborhood! WEATHER PERMITTING: After the presentation enjoy some fresh air and join us for snowshoeing or hiking the Nature Center Trail.

Enjoy light refreshments, music and good company! Free event, however donations will be accepted. We will have both winter and everyday themed craft projects for you and yours to make and take..
