The Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians is a federally recognized Tribe located in the heart of Mendocino County, Redwood Valley, California, USA. Our reservation is approximately 82.36 acres of trust land. Our Tribe is comprised of over 300 members of which 171 of the adult voting members make up the General Council. Elected from the General Council is a Tribal Chief and a 7 member Tribal Council charged with the responsibility of maintaining governmental relationships, managing tribal affairs, and promoting the economic well-being of the Tribe.

Shelter Closure Notice

The Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians would like to inform the community that the emergency shelter located in the Tribal Gymnasium is officially closed as of 8 pm on 8-2-26.

We are grateful to everyone who came together to support those impacted by the Feliz Fire. Thank you to our staff, volunteers, partner agencies, firefighters, emergency responders, and community members whose compassion and dedication made it possible to provide a safe place for those in need.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation during this emergency and wish our community continued safety and recovery.

Community Shelter Notice – Feliz Fire

Due to the ongoing Feliz Fire and its impact on our surrounding communities, the Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians has opened the Tribal Gymnasium, 415 Coyote Valley Blvd, Redwood Valley, as a temporary shelter for individuals and families in need of a safe place to stay.

We encourage everyone to continue following official evacuation orders and updates from emergency response agencies. Please share this post to help spread the word to those who may need assistance.
