It’s Championship Saturday at the Minnesota State High School League Girls Basketball State Tournament! 🏀🏀

Did you know Redwood Falls High School was part of the very beginning of girls state tournament history?

In 1976, during the very first official MSHSL girls basketball state tournament, Redwood Falls won the Class A State Championship, making the Cardinals the inaugural Class A state champions!

Sometimes there are staff members who quietly go above and beyond for students. The ones who notice when a kid is struggling, stay late, make the extra phone call, or step in when it really matters.

In partnership with the family of John and Sue Tiffany, we’re honored to introduce the Sue Tiffany Excellence in Education Award, created to recognize those people.

This award honors any current Redwood Area Schools staff member (teachers, paraprofessionals, support staff, custodians, and anyone in between) who have made a significant impact and simply work for the good of our students.

The recipient will receive a $750 personal cash award and will have the opportunity to direct an additional $750 donation to an educational or academic school program, club, or classroom area of their choice.

If someone has made a difference for you, your child, or your family, please consider sharing your story and nominating them today! Nominations close March 15.
