Our office has received reports of counterfeit “motion picture” currency circulating in the Redwood Falls area. Please use caution when accepting cash.

Check bills carefully for markings such as “For Motion Picture Use Only” or “Motion Picture Currency.” Also pay attention to the texture and security features of the bill, as counterfeit bills often feel different from legitimate U.S. currency.

During National Police Week, we pause to honor the brave law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their courage, dedication, and service to their communities will never be forgotten. We also recognize the officers who continue to serve and protect each day with professionalism, integrity, and commitment.

The Redwood Falls Police Department proudly stands with law enforcement agencies across the nation in remembering the fallen and supporting the families and coworkers they left behind.

We will never forget. 💙🖤

We’re honored to receive funding for non-lethal PepperBall equipment. Thank you to PROTECTS - Redwood Falls for your support and for helping equip our department to better serve our community.

PROTECTS is proud to announce the award of $17,000 to the Redwood Falls Police Department for the purchase of Pepperball equipment.
This marks the third award PROTECTS has been able to provide in 2026 - wow! This particular award was made possible in large part thanks to the generosity of the Orrin S. Estebo Foundation, whose support continues to make a meaningful impact in our communities.
Equipping our local agencies with a diverse range of less-lethal and non-lethal tools is more important than ever. When crisis situations arise, having the right options available can make all the difference - helping officers respond effectively while increasing the chances of a safe, positive outcome for everyone involved.
We’re proud to stand behind the mission of supporting those who protect and serve, and we thank our community and partners for making this work possible.
