Dear San Mateo County Taxpayers,

Just a reminder that property taxes are due by 5pm Thursday, April 10th. THAT’S TOMORROW!! Our offices are open 9-5 in Redwood City, South San Francisco and Half Moon Bay. You can also take advantage of our online services at tax.smcgov.org (available until midnight)and our drive-thru drop box on Winslow by the childcare center in Redwood City open 24/7 until 4/10/25 when it closes at 5pm.

To avoid penalties, if waiting until the last minute to pay, consider having your payment date stamped by the 10th at the post office or purchase a proof of mailing certificate dated no later than 4/10/25 from the post office. Only timely USPS postmarks are accepted, Pitney Bowes stamps are not acceptable to prove timely payment.

If you use the online options, please remember that electronic payments are not credited until the funds are received by the County bank NOT WHEN THE TRANSACTION IS MADE. e-check is a free option.

Following the first set of election results I was pleasantly surprised by the number of votes I received, being unopposed. Today, as final numbers were announced, I find myself completely overwhelmed by the show of support. Thank you, San Mateo County voters.
