Redwood City School District RCSD is an innovative & award-winning PreK-8 district serving Redwood City and portions of Atherton, Menlo Park, San Carlos and Woodside.

RCSD welcomes respectful, relevant community discussion. Comments are moderated in accordance with BP 1114. For more than 100 years, our district has educated K-8 students in Redwood City, and portions of San Carlos, Menlo Park, Atherton and Woodside. With a legacy of graduating leaders in our community and beyond, our current mission is to educate every child for success in the 21st century. As our students prepare to live and work in an increasingly global economy, rigor is more important than ever before. We have put in place a strategic academic plan designed to provide students with the academic building blocks they need to thrive in high school, college, and eventually in the workforce.
