Elections have consequences, please be sure to return your ballot by March 4th in the upcoming municipal election. After careful consideration of the candidates, I strongly endorse:

* Joy Ford for City Attorney 2025 due to her wealth of experience, and pragmatic approach to quality of life issues impacting our community.
* Jim Light for Mayor of Redondo Beach due to his proven leadership as Mayor and dedication to working for all residents to achieve common goals in moving our City forward.
* Brad Waller for Redondo Beach City Council District 1 due to the incredible improvements he achieved serving two terms on the Board of Education, proven ability to work with City leaders in planning our future, and the dedication and integrity he's displayed throughout his many years of public service.

While I haven't always agreed with Jim Light, I know how dedicated he is to our community and have seen the time and energy he puts into serving all of us as Mayor. In these divisive times, he's worked hard to bring people together and find pragmatic solutions to the many challenges our City faces. He has the experience we need to best represent everyone in Redondo Beach and move us forward. I hope you'll join me in voting for Jim Light for Mayor of Redondo Beach

SUPPORT FROM COUNCILMEMBER BEHRENDT

Last year, after the passing of former Mayor Bill Brand, I was one of two Redondo Beach City Council Members who voted “No” on appointing Jim Light as Mayor Brand’s successor.

However, fast-forward one year, and I’m humbled to say that Mayor Jim Light has proven me wrong. He’s shown himself to be a unifier who’s committed to serving the entire City, giving both North and South the attention and respect they deserve. Although Mayor Light did not want or plan to run for election, I, along with many others, personally requested and encouraged him to reconsider his decision because of the excellent job he has done. I’m pleased, with the blessing of his wife Pat and daughter Alli, he made the decision to become a candidate for Mayor and make the sacrifice of time and effort to serve us.

Although there are other capable candidates in this race, after careful consideration, and weighing all options, I’ve concluded that Mayor Jim Light’s track record of dedication, results, and leadership has earned him my first choice vote for Mayor of Redondo Beach.

I'm supporting Joy Ford for City Attorney 2025 because she has the integrity and experience our community needs. She's already worked for 10 years in the City Attorney's office tackling public safety and quality of life issues that deeply impact so many of us.

There's a lot of great reasons why she's endorsed by so many leaders and organizations like the Redondo Beach Police Officer Association and the Redondo Beach Firefighters Association. She's been an incredible supporter of our schools and our students and will provide pragmatic solutions to the complex challenges we face today and in the future. Please vote for Joy Ford this March!
