Waste Buster is an AI-powered chatbot designed to make waste sorting and recycling in Redmond easier than ever. It can answer questions about what goes where, explain how Recology services work, help residents find their service day, and provide instructions for scheduling bulky-item pickups. It also offers guidance on “hard to recycle” items and where they can be taken, whether to the Recology Store or placed curbside.

Waste Buster replaces the old “What Goes Where” tool, and the City’s website will include a link to Recology’s own version for those who wish to use it. It’s available in all languages and supports the Environmental Sustainability Action Plan’s Big Move 4: Achieve Zero Waste. And don’t forget Waste Buster is always ready to help, so feel free to say hi!

Redmond is working to keep our neighborhoods safe, accessible, and welcoming for everyone. By the end of April 2026, the City will implement two-hour parking time limits in the Overlake and Marymoor Village neighborhoods. Here are some things to keep in mind regarding this change:

• Two-hour parking time limits allow for up to two hours of free parking. After the time limit has expired, a car is considered to be illegally parked and is eligible for a citation.

• Two-hour parking signs will be installed to mark the streets where time limits are enforced. Time limits will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Streets without signs have no time limits.

• Parking enforcement for Overlake and Marymoor Village will be managed by the City of Redmond. Parking enforcement for Downtown Redmond will continue to be managed by Diamond Parking.
