In the last couple of weeks, we had special visitors at Bridge.
Two occupational therapy graduate students from the University of Washington stopped by to learn more about our Meyer Medical Equipment Center and how donated equipment can become practical, everyday support for people in our community.
We also welcomed Adyson, a physical therapy graduate student from the University of Puget Sound, who spent time with a group of experienced physical therapists—Trish, Jane, and Karen—to connect academic learning with hands-on, community-based experience.
These visits matter because they help build the next generation of clinicians who understand what access can look like outside of a clinic—where the right equipment, fit well, can change how someone moves through daily life.
And thanks to our donors, we’re able to offer specialized pediatric equipment that our volunteers carefully check and adjust so it’s ready for the children who need it.
We’re grateful for the students who came to learn, for the clinicians who shared their time, and for the community that makes this work possible.
