What a great celebration for working class union families in the Inland Empire. As a teacher, I know see firsthand how unions work in support of their members. It was great to be among fellow elected officials: Congressman Aguirre and Takano, Congresswoman Torres team, State Senators Gomez-Reyes' team, Riverside County Supervisor Medina, and many others who showed up to support the unions whi participated in this inaugural event. Happy Labor Day everyone!

Today, we attended the inaugural Labor Day parade and celebration. IELC President DeJonaé Shaw and other labor leaders spkoe on the history of labor and the the positive impact that unions have had on the lives of workers across the United States. This holiday honors all workers but most importantly celebrates those who worked deliver better wages, benefits, and working conditions, among other things, to working class families across our nation. Happy Labor Day everyone!

We had a beautiful day trip to LA to visit the Broad museum and ended our day with dinner at the Grand Central Market. We're looking forward to our next one.
