The Unforgettables Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1999 to assist families with the cost of providing a dignified burial for their child (22 weeks’ gestation to 18 years old) who has passed away. The mission of The Unforgettables Foundation is to:

• Enable low-income families to give their children a dignified burial.

• Empower communities

to memorialize children who have died.

• Educate parents and children’s caregivers to confront, control, and conquer the primary risks to our children’s health and wholeness.

• Encourage communities to recognize the financial trauma which is often associated with the death of a child.

Today, we remember Arthur.

Arthur was just 10 years old when his life was tragically cut short in a car accident.

No family ever expects to plan a funeral for their child. In the midst of unimaginable grief, the financial burden of final arrangements can become one more thing a family is suddenly asked to carry.

Because of the generosity of our donors and community, The Unforgettables Foundation is able to step in during these moments, helping families with funeral expenses and giving them one less thing to navigate during an incredibly difficult time.

Arthur’s name matters. His life matters. And his family is part of the reason we continue this work.

In those moments, The Unforgettables Foundation helps ease the financial burden of final arrangements so families can focus on what matters most, being together, grieving, and remembering their child.

Grief doesn’t end when the flowers stop arriving or the check-ins become less frequent.

For families who have lost a child, grief continues through ordinary Tuesdays, birthdays, holidays, milestones, and all the quiet moments in between.

And while there may not always be the “right” words, there are still ways to show up. 🤍

Send the text. Remember their child’s name. Mark the important dates. Keep extending the invitation. Share the memory.

At The Unforgettables Foundation, our mission reaches beyond helping families with the immediate financial burden of losing a child.

We help.
We remember.
We connect.
We educate.
And we bring people together.

Families, hospitals, social workers, mortuaries, volunteers, local businesses, and donors. Each plays a part in creating a community where grieving families feel supported, remembered, and less alone.

Because no family should have to navigate the unimaginable alone.
