It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our friend and colleague, Michael "Mickey" Kane.

Mickey was a dedicated QIDP who spent years enriching the lives of the individuals we serve. He was known for his compassion, kindness, and genuine love for helping others. Many of us will remember the joy he found in taking clients on outings, creating meaningful experiences, and helping them enjoy life to the fullest.

Beyond his work, Mickey was known for his warm heart, adventurous spirit, and love of the RV lifestyle. He was a trusted colleague, loyal friend, and valued member of the JonBec Care family. His positive attitude and caring nature touched the lives of countless clients, families, and coworkers.

We know many current and former employees, clients, families, and friends will be saddened by this loss. We are grateful for the years Mickey shared with our organization and for the legacy of compassion, service, and friendship he leaves behind.

Please keep Mickey's family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

One of our employees shared this sad story with us. This sweet little girl is our employee's niece and the family is asking for any help. If you can help financially or with prayers they will be grateful for every little bit. Thank you

Everybody who knew Jolise while she worked at JonBec is heartbroken at her sudden passing at way too young. She was with us for over 5 years our secretary and then a QIDP. Always quick to help, cheerful, smiling and friendly she brought joy to those around her.

I’m sharing her parents go fund me page for any who may want to help with funeral expenses.

Jenny, who has been our Corporate Secretary for the past year, has accepted a deployment by EMSA and today was her last day. We’ve loved having her here but have known it would be temporary because EMS is her first love and she needs that adrenaline rush. We know she’s going to be amazing working at the fire camps. We wish her all the best but will be missing her cheerful smiling face and helpfulness, not to mention her computer wizardry

Today our Cora retired. She dedicated her life to serving the clients. She started at Mt. View Childcare Center (Now Totally Kids) in 1982 and joined JonBec Care when we purchased the facilities she was working at in 1996. She served as a Facility Manager for most of those years until she semi-retired by stepping down and moving to Plum Lane Learning Center. We will all miss her but I know the clients are going to miss her as much as she told me today that she will miss them.

Laura, our Payroll Bookkeeper, is moving on after 30 years at JonBec Care. She started as a Direct Care Staff and then promoted to a Facility Manager at York House. She moved into the corporate office at least 17 years ago. This decision has been heart wrenching for Laura since she has spent her adult life growing and learning and living with our JonBec family. Today was a day of laughter and tears and at the end we wish her all the best and know we will keep in touch
