Red Springs Police Department conducted a traffic stop as a part the Southeastern North Carolina Violent Crimes Task Force Operation. Due to the totality of circumstances on the traffic stop, a K9 was requested to do an open-air sniff on the vehicle.
A vehicle search was conducted after the K9 gave a positive alert. Officers located 85 oxycodone pills, a bulk of U.S. currency, and other drug paraphernalia. All three individuals inside the vehicle were arrested and transported to the Robeson County Detention Center.
Bennie Henderson Jr. attempted to destroy drug paraphernalia by placing it in his mouth and crushing it with his teeth. He was arrested for the following charges:
- (F) Conspiracy to Sell/Deliver Sch. II CS
- (F) Alter/ Steal/ Destroy Criminal Evidence
- (M) Poss. Drug Paraphernalia
Lester Farrington was arrested for the following charges:
- (F) Conspiracy to Sell/Deliver Sch. II CS
- (F) Poss. Sch. II CS
- (F) PWIMSD Sch. II CS
- (F) Trafficking O***m or Heroine x2
- (F) Maintain Veh/Dwell/Place CS
- (M) Poss. Drug Paraphernalia
- (M) Reg Plate Improperly Attached
Glenda Callahan was arrested for the following charge:
- (F) Conspiracy to Sell/Deliver Sch. II CS
Farrington was given a $500,000 secured bond for his charges. Henderson Jr. was given a $10,000 secured bond for his charges. Callahan was given a $5,000 secured bond for her charge. Court documents for this case are available online via eCourts.
