Today, we remember the 2,977 lives lost in the September 11, 2001 attacks across New York, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania.
Twenty five years ago, lives were changed forever. Millions watched the events unfold from near Ground Zero, on television, or listened on the radio as our nation experienced one of the darkest days in its history. In the days that followed, we made a vow: we must never forget, and we must never allow such a tragedy to happen again.
Today, the Town of Red Oak pauses to honor and remember the lives lost, the survivors whose lives were forever changed, the first responders who answered the call, and the countless families and communities who continue to carry the weight of that day.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
