🚧 Road Work Alert for Dayton Blvd 🚧
Resurfacing is now underway on Dayton Blvd from Browntown Rd to Gadd Rd. Expect lane shifts, slower traffic, and possible delays throughout the project. If you travel this route regularly, plan a little extra time and drive carefully around crews.

🎉 Celebrating 50 Years of Service! 🚒

The City of Red Bank is proud to recognize an incredible milestone as we celebrate our only 50-year employee (volunteer), Assistant Fire Chief Jerry Carter!

Assistant Chief Carter began his journey with the Red Bank Fire Department on May 17, 1976, and for five decades has demonstrated unwavering dedication, leadership, and service to our community. His commitment to protecting and serving the citizens of Red Bank is truly inspiring and a shining example of what it means to give back.

During the celebration, Red Bank Fire Chief Brent Sylar read Assistant Chief Carter’s biography and highlighted his many accomplishments, reflecting on a lifetime of service and dedication. Chief Sylar then proudly presented him with a 50-year service award in recognition of this extraordinary achievement.

Reaching 50 years of service is a remarkable accomplishment, and we are honored to celebrate this moment with him. Thank you, Assistant Chief Carter, for your sacrifice, your passion, and your lifelong commitment to the safety and well-being of Red Bank.

Please join us in congratulating Assistant Chief Jerry Carter on this incredible milestone! 👏🔥

🌧️🚧 Protect Our Waterways: Control Construction Runoff! 🚧🌧️

As our community continues to grow, construction is a sign of progress—but it also comes with responsibility. Improperly managed construction sites can allow sediment-laden stormwater, debris, and pollutants to wash into our storm drains, streams, and rivers.

💧 Why it matters:
Stormwater runoff from construction sites can contaminate local waterways, harm aquatic life, clog our infrastructure, and increase localized flooding risks. Clean water is essential for our environment, public health, and quality of life!

🛠️ What are EPSC measures?
Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control (EPSC) measures are required safeguards used at construction sites to keep soil and pollutants where they belong—on-site. Examples include:
✅ Silt fences
✅ Sediment basins
✅ Stabilized construction entrances
✅ Proper grading and post-construction seeding

👷 Everyone plays a role:
Contractors, developers, and property owners must properly install and maintain EPSC measures, especially before rain events. If you're unsure about the installation, reach out to the City's stormwater team for guidance and installation tips.

🌱 See something, say something:
If you notice a construction site where runoff may be escaping, please report it to the City so we can help keep Red Bank’s waterways clean and safe!

Together, we can build responsibly and protect the natural resources that make Red Bank a great place to live! 💙
