It is with a profoundly broken heart that we announce the passing of 53 year member and Ex-Chief Robert Talerico, Sr. Bob served as Captain of Navesink Hook & Ladder Co , and as Chief of Department in 1994. Bob also served his country proudly in the US Navy and then with the US Postal Service. After retirement, he worked for his hometown of Red Bank with the boros’ Fire Marshals Office. His son Robert Jr also served in the Hook, and is a retired sergeant with the Red Bank Police Dept. His wife Bonnie and Granddaughter Ashley, are both members of the Red Bank Fire Dept Auxiliary. His love and commitment to service and community never wavered and he set an example for kindness and brotherhood that is still felt inside our organization to this very day. Grandma, as many in the fire dept referred to him due to his remarkable kindness, laughed with us, supported all of us, and always had a kind and positive word to help cheer up your day.
