Reading Community Library The Reading Community Library serves Reading, Reading Township and Cambria Township. Community Service is Our Priority!

We are members of Mel.org which means that if we don’t have a book on our shelves that you want we can borrow it from another library. This is just one of the many free services that we provide. Did you know that we have a book club, an ancestry club, provide free access to Consumer Report on line, rent newly released DVD titles for a nominal fee, have computers for public access and so much more. The library is your community resource-enjoy it.

***VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE***
Reading Community Library will now be closed the 15th through the 19th for painting! 🖌🔨
Make sure you stop in Monday, the 14th to get your weekly reads! 📚
If you have a book due on any of the days we are closed, simply place them in the drop box to avoid any fees. If you wish for a book renewal, just leave us a voicemail or email, and we will contact you once we reopen with a renewal date.
As always, you may also use our app, Librista, to renew your books yourself from home! 📱📖
We hope you will enjoy our fresh look afterwards!

It is with such sadness that the world learns about Dolly Parton’s passing.
Dolly Parton was a vocal advocate for literacy and supporting libraries. Through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, she created something special to improve childhood literacy at home. Dolly created this incredible program in honor of her father, who was unable to read. Each month, one million free books are delivered to children due to her, and the team at DPIL. Today, the world has lost a wonderful woman.
