RMLD offices and the customer service lobby are closed today, Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day and will reopen at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 8.

RMLD is performing AMI meter installations in Wilmington over the next few months. Here's what residents can expect:

1. An RMLD meter technician will knock on your door wearing a yellow RMLD vest and an RMLD ID badge. Technicians will be driving a marked RMLD vehicle. 🦺 💡

2. The installation takes about 15 minutes.

⚡️ - The technician will complete the work whether or not you answer the door. No action is required on your part.

⚡️ - You will experience a brief power interruption, typically less than 5 minutes.

⚡️ - Once power is restored you may need to reset devices such as digital clocks or Wi-Fi routers.

⚡️ - Your electrical service will resume with the same reliable power you expect from RMLD.

Thank you for a successful 2026 Electric Vehicle (EV) Show! 🚗⚡🔋

A big thank you to the Wilmington, MA Farmers Market, Wilmington, MA Town Hall, and all of the dealerships and organizations that helped make this year's event a success. We were thrilled to welcome Rivian of Boston, McGovern Hyundai Rt 93, Green Wave Electric Vehicles, Eco Auto, Tesla of Peabody, and our local EV owners, including the Wakefield EV community members who partnered with us to showcase their vehicles and share their experiences with attendees.

Visitors explored a wide range of EVs, including the Rivian R2, R1S and R1T; Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 9; Lucid Air; Ford Mustang Mach-E; Tesla Model Y and Model 3; and many owner-owned electric vehicles.

A special thank you to Rivian for offering test drives throughout the event and to Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Company - MMWEC for joining us and sharing information about Connected Homes and other energy programs.

We loved seeing so many community members come out to learn about EV technology, ask thoughtful questions, and discover the benefits of driving electric. Your enthusiasm and support help move our communities toward a non-carbon energy future. 🙌
